In loving memory of Beth Purvis

I keep thinking about the time I went with Beth to the Marsden for one of her many treatment sessions. I was supposed to be there to look after her but it actually ended up being the other way around! Like an idiot I had managed to do something to my back the day before and was in agony. But I couldnt let Beth down so decided not to mention it and struggle on bravely. Of course Beth noticed I was in pain straight away and on the way home, when there was only one seat left on the tube, she insisted I sat in it. She had just had chemo and yet was still looking out for me! And that sums up Beth and why we all loved her. What a truly special friend she was.
